ABOUT
CONFLICT: 2027 is a game. You are the newly elected Prime Minister of Israel in January 2027, with 48 monthly turns to try to win a durable peace. It is an homage to Conflict: Middle East Political Simulator (1990), which is still playable at the Internet Archive.
It is interactive fiction, not a forecast. Nothing in it is reporting, analysis, prediction, or a claim about real people or real events. No outcome inside the game means anything outside it. If you are looking for information about actual events, this is the wrong place to look, and it was never built to be the right one.
Peace is winnable, and genuinely hard. That was the design brief. A simulation where the good ending is impossible teaches fatalism; one where it is easy teaches nothing. Every ending, including The Handshake, can be reached in the free archive edition — balance bots prove it on every build.
Two editions. The archive edition is free, needs no account, and runs the complete 48-turn game on hand-authored narration. The live edition has Claude write the briefings, author the crises, and play your negotiation counterparts; you can buy a single campaign, bring your own Anthropic API key, or self-host with your own key.
The source is public under the Hippocratic License 3.0 at github.com/assafbar2/conflict-2027. Self-hosting with your own key is free and documented.
